and evaluation of underground and aboveground storage tank systems
throughout Australia.
Leaking tanks threaten groundwater quality and create health and
other hazards. Tanknology originated as a joint project with the
Canadian Federal Government to develop a convenient and inexpensive
leak test for storage tanks that was not affected by the limitations
of existing technologies. The inventor, Edwin Adams, of Edmonton,
Alberta, developed a system which quickly became the industry
standard for precision and convenience. Mr. Adams' system is now
the most widely-used testing method around the world.
